1 | LOLLAPALOOZA, INDIA

The city of Mumbai is likely to come to a halt between January 28 and 29, 2023, all thanks to the highly anticipated Lollapalooza Music Festival’s debut in India. Lollapalooza India has finally dropped its list of artists for the 2023 music festival, which includes headliners Imagine Dragons and The Strokes along with a lineup of India’s finest artists – Sandunes, Tejas, F16s, Bombay Brass, Easy Wanderlings, Divine, Prateek Kuhad, etc., who are slated to perform among the assembled four stages and over forty different acts of this two-day festival.

2 | STORM, BANGALORE

Celebrating various music genres like folk, indie and electronic; this music festival hosts three dazzling nights in January each year. Storm Bangalore is known for its vast lush venue which offers a unique mix of adventure sports along with live music. Efficient waste management, recycling used products, and a strict no-plastic policy is the characteristics of this eco-friendly music festival.

3 | BLUES FESTIVAL, MUMBAI

Asia's biggest Blues music festival, Mahindra Blues conquer hearts in Mumbai every February. The festival promotes the local blues community by bringing already established blues artists from the world over and budding blues artists in India on a common platform. Make sure you enjoy the mouthwatering local food and bustling nightlife of the city along with this elite music festival.

4 | ROAD TO ULTRA, INDIA

One of the largest electronic fests in the world, The Ultra Music Festival made its way into Indian soil with its global leg of the tour, Road to Ultra. Scheduled in February’23, the festival will be packed with performances from some of the biggest names in the Indian and global EDM industry.

5 | HOLI COW, NEW DELHI

Immersed in the colors of Holi, this one day outdoor music festival features Dancehall, Hip-Hop, Reggae, Electronic, Indie and Experimental music. You can indulge in a wide assortment of art, culture, food, music and dancing.

6 | ZIRO, ARUNACHAL

Held at an altitude of 5,500 feet in Ziro valley, the Festival is rolled out in September drawing thousands of nature lovers amongst the setting of beautiful mountains and pine trees. Ziro aims to encourage fellowship between musicians of Northeast India. Go ahead pamper your wanderlust!

7 | SHIVA SQUAD, MANALI

September witnesses this crazy musical party that brings together the finest artists of Psy-Trance, Trance, Hi-Tech, electronic, rock, jazz, fusion, classical, R&B and folk music. Shiva Squad dons a unique artistic expression attempting to unite like-minded individuals, endorse social harmony and promote a deep understanding of psychedelic culture.

8 | GOMAD, OOTY

This musical carnival celebrates the beauty of art in the wilderness of Nilgiri hills in Ooty in October. From Fusion to Pop, Electronica to Metal, the GoMad festival has diverse music performances. GoMad curates the little-known music bands that offer soulful renditions to the lovers of music. 

9 | JODHPUR RIFF, RAJASTHAN

Displaying the traditional folk music and arts of Rajasthan, this international folk music festival is organized in glorious Jodhpur, every October. The festival provides an open stage to acclaimed folk artists and musicians from India and abroad. RIFF's sole aim has been to familiarize the world with the traditional Rajasthani musical heritage.

10 | INDEPENDENCE ROCK

For the fans of rock, the legendary Independence Rock is one of the biggest indie rock music festivals to look out for. The festival lines up the most popular veteran rock bands in the country.

11 | THE HILLS, MEGHALAYA

The picturesque hills of Meghalaya becomes the backdrop to The Hills Festival. 12 | LOCALS DISTRICT, RAJASTHAN

Locals DISTRICT bills itself as “India’s first none of its kind Techno Music Festival.” This three-day techno music extravaganza unfolds in the majestic Rajasthan featuring a diverse palette of talent in techno music and its subgenres. The festival also showcases graffiti artists, environmentally friendly organic apparel stores, tattoo and body artists, art installations, a flea bazaar, and lots more!

13 | NH7 WEEKENDER

This magnificent music fest is touted as “India’s Happiest Music Festival”. The event witnesses an impressive assortment of performances from rock to indie to metal and ethnic fusion music. NH7 is mostly hosted by the cities of Pune, Bangalore, Kolkata and Delhi.

14 | SUNBURN

Sunburn is Asia’s Premiere Electronic Dance Music (EDM) Festival, ranked amongst the world’s biggest music fests. 16 | DGTL, INDIA

DGTL is a global concept full of discovery, inspiration and innovation. This industrial designed festival constantly strives for a balance between the leading names in art and music, the newest discoveries and exciting local treasures. In addition to celebrating electronic music and art, DGTL is a space for experiments and exploration of revolutionary sustainability projects. Not only is the festival known for its plant-based food court and being free of single-use plastics, DGTL became fully sustainable and 100% circular in 2022.

17 | HORNBILL, NAGALAND

One of the biggest music festivals in the country, the Hornbill Music Festival is a seven-day cultural fest that takes place amid the scenic vistas of Kohima in December every year. The festival strives to display the talent of the diverse multi-ethnic tribes of Nagaland to the world. It serves as a platform for upcoming Northeast bands and artists to meet musicians from different parts of the country.

18 | MAGNETIC FIELD, RAJASTHAN

Magnetic Fields is a stunning three-day music festival set in between the grandeur of golden triangle formed by Bikaner, Jaipur and Delhi. Mostly held in December, this music fest has earned the reputation of a boutique festival experience in India. The fest aims at promoting the freshest sounds from the country and offers them a platform to break into the music industry by pitching them alongside music legends. 

19 | MOOD INDIGO, MUMBAI

Organized by IIT Bombay, Mood Indigo is one of the oldest and massively popular music festivals in the country. The fest brings together India's most sought after music bands. Students from over 1650 colleges of India participate at this buzzing event. The four-day long event is mostly hosted towards the end of December each year.

20 | ENCHANTED VALLEY CARNIVAL, PUNE

The first of its kind in Asia, the Enchanted Valley Carnival is India’s largest music festival that is held on an airstrip located amidst the beautiful hills of Aamby Valley in Pune. Artists groove to different genres ranging from Bollywood, metal, electronic to jazz, folk and rock. The fest also hosts various adventure activities like rock climbing, bungee jumping, zip lining and more, to give attendees an experience to remember. When you plan your visit make sure you do explore the ‘Culinarium’, the food arena that serves everything from street cuisine to gourmet classics.

21 | SULA FEST, NASIK

Wine and music together always sounds stunning. Don’t they? Held in the Sula Vineyards of Nasik, this fest is a mix of electronic music, dubstep, and reggae. Wine flows in abundance at this celebration of music, fashion and leisure. The new edition of Sula Fest has collaborated with Yoga House which would introduce outdoor sunrise yoga sessions for the audience. Recreational activities such as hot air balloon rides, foot massages, wine tasting tours, tarot card reading and flea market stalls are a part of this leisurely event.

22 | WOODS TALK, RISHIKESH

Set near the gushing river Ganges in the spiritual city of Rishikesh, the Woods Talk Festival follows the concept of camping music festivals observed in European countries. Camps are set up 45 km ahead of Rishikesh in the woods of Mahadev Chatti. The event mixes mind-boggling adventure and outdoor activities with electrifying music. Folk performances, Jazz, Blues, Rock, Electronica and DJs are on the palette for the music lovers.

23 | ELECTRIC DAISY CARNIVAL, DELHI

For over 20 years, The Electric Daisy Carnival has been globally known for its impressive lineup of some of the biggest names in EDM. With the eccentric stage set up, neon light play and the burst of colors & experiences, the festival boasts of an experience that will give attendees a weekend to remember.

24 | ESCAPE, NANITAL

Around 80 musicians decided to get away from the hustling New Delhi for a few days and chose a resort in the Himalayas to spend their days. Their escape led to the birth of Escape music festival. A three-day fest held at the in Naukuchiatal near Nanital, this festival features an extravaganza of talent from bands, performance artists, photographers, painters, graffiti artists, tattoo artists, writers, potters and more. Escape is known for its quality music and hypnotic atmosphere.

25 | VH1 SUPERSONIC, PUNE

VH1 Supersonic parties are known for their best-in-town line-up and venues each year, featuring some of the biggest artists both from India and internationally. If you are a hardcore party animal then you just can’t afford to miss this. So prepare to dress up and get grooving!
